Getting Started
Requirements
First, please ensure the Prequisites are met.
Installation
You can get Tapi from the Booth store.
If you just want to try it out, there is also a demo version available for free.
Demo Version Limitations
When using the Demo version, the following features are not available:
- Dark Mode
- Quick-switch binding for 2nd/3rd input methods
DANGER
This is the ONLY official distribution channel.
Any other distribution channels are unofficial and may contain malware.
After downloading the file, un-zip it and run the TapiSetup-v1.x.x.exe file. The installer will guide you through the installation process.
First-Time Setup
Please launch SteamVR before starting Tapi
It is recommended to launch SteamVR first to ensure the environment is fully initialized before launching Tapi.Upon first launch, Tapi will create cache files, which may take 1-2 minutes to complete
Once launched, the keyboard will automatically appear in front of you. If the SteamVR Dashboard is open during launch, the keyboard will appear automatically after it closes.Default bindings to toggle the keyboard overlay:
- Oculus / Knuckles / Pico: Double-tap the right
B button - Vive Wand: Double-tap the right

TIP
If you need to change this, you can modify it in SteamVR binding settings.

Tapi is set to automatically launch and close with SteamVR.
To disable auto-start, go to SteamVR settings, thenStartup / Shutdown→Choose startup overlay appsand turn off Tapi.INFO
Even if auto-start is disabled, Tapi will still automatically close when SteamVR closes.
Enable VRChat OSC
Open the VRChat action menu, then navigate toOptions→OSCand Enable it.
